The General Data Protection Regulations [GDPR] are fast approaching – really not
very long left before enforcement starts. So how can SMEs be ready for 25th of May?
This is a pretty tricky question! Here are a few good sources of information.

1. The ICO website and Helpline are the best place to start - the 12 Step plan
and Checklists are worth reading.
2. Visit the Communicator web site and read the GDPR documents here –
these are informative and more importantly, easy to read.

3. The DMA has a set of guides – this is a fantastic resource! You will definitely get hung up on the use of Legitimate Interest and the DMA
provides lots of guidance in this area.

5. There is a useful document on how to record Processing Activity provided
by Bitkom. – this is a complex area and this document helps you
understand your responsibility. Worth a look.

toolkit that will help you understand how GDPR applies. Take a look at the section on GDPR Guidance!
There are many resources and sources of information. The best advice is to take
your time! Read the information and make yourself a plan.
