GDPR Insurance

Wouldn’t it be good if you could just buy a GDPR insurance policy? Imagine simply paying a fee to make sure you don’t ever receive a fine from the ICO. The bad news is that I don't think such a policy exists or would work, there would be too many terms and conditions and you’d never be able to claim!

An alternative approach is to make sure you stay on top of your GDPR - make GDPR part of how your company operates, and just part of everything you do. This depends on your company but as a minimum you should:

  1. Ensure you have a complete set of GDPR policies

  2. Train your staff

  3. Manage suppliers and third-parties

  4. Respond to all requests quickly and professionally

  5. Do the basics - Cyber Sec, filing, storage etc…

Optindigo has a range of built in features that help you do exactly this. We provide GDPR document review reminders; checklist; staff training material; and SAR/Compliant/Breach response process automation tools.

Maybe this is not the same as insurance but will definitely help keep you safe.

Take a look or call us anytime to discuss.

Good luck all!
