ICO FEE - HOW TO CLAIM YOUR EXEMPTION AND AVOID A FINE.

The ICO has sent thousands of letters to all sorts of companies demanding payment of a registration fee and threatening a £4000 fine. Even if you have been in business for many years you may be unaware of the ICO and how data protection applies to you however you must take action or risk a fine. We can help. It is important to realise that many companies are exempt and do not need to pay the registration fee but don't forget that GDPR will still apply. If you only use data to run your business then many companies will not have to pay. There are exceptions - Accountants, Letting Agents, Landlords etc.... all need to pay. If you are involved in buying/sellng data or provide marketing services you will need to pay. For more information feel free to call us or take our quick check test at: ICO Registration Quiz .

Now, don't forget that even if you are exempt you still need to complete your GDPR - failure to complete your GDPR can lead to an even bigger fine! If you process personal data including the information about your employees then the General Data Protection Rules will apply to you and you need to make sure you have completed all your documentation, policies, procedures, forms etc. GDPR is complex and involves many documents, but don't worry, we can help. Call us anytime to discuss or take a look at our low cost packs and subscriptions at: Low Cost GDPR

If you are sure you need to pay go to the ICO official page at: ICO FEE

Act now - don't risk an ICO fine or GDPR enforcement action.

Good luck all.
