This is probably teaching you to suck eggs but just in case.

According to the ICO website, The General Data Protection Regulations 2018 requires every organisation or sole trader who processes personal information to pay a data protection fee to the ICO, unless they are exempt. The cost of your data protection fee depends on your size and turnover. There are three tiers of fee ranging from £40 and £2,900, but for most organisations it will be £40 or £60’.

Put simply, most companies will need to register with the ICO if they process any personal data. This is not all companies but certainly the majority of companies should be registered. If you are registered please make sure you keep your details up to date and renew on time. If you have not yet registered then take a look at the ICO website to confirm whether you should register.

Of course you can contact us if you are not sure. Either call us on 01772 217800 or email email support@optindigo.com.

Good luck all!
